February Reboot

My plan was to hit the ground running in January with my job search and upskilling. LIFE had other plans for me though.

My momma was hospitalized and can't stay alone in the hospital, so my dad and I took turns staying with her. After two weeks in the hospital her tired body gave out. She passed away and is no longer in pain.

We are all doing as expected, experiencing normal cycles of grief, they come in waves. I know they the waves will get smaller and further apart eventually. Love and miss you Momma!!

No more sadness, right now! This week and last week have been amazing in terms of how much I have been able to get done. I signed up for the Teacher Career Coach Course, I highly recommend it. It has helped me to get things organized in my head and think through some logistical things many people probably don't think of.

I took part in two Zoom meetings last week to explore Instructional Design and Customer Success. Tonight's exploratory Zoom is all about marketing. Thank-you to the amazing Anna Murphy for organizing those calls. I'm not sure how to link to her here... yet.

I signed up to complete a Google Certificate course on UX Design, because...... well why not?!?! I have been fortunate enough to be able to take a leave of absence from teaching so I can devote my full self to finding a new career.
